How to check any glass contractor
This is not just about us. These checks apply to any contractor you are considering. Every item is free to check online.
Every glass contractor in California should hold a C-17 Glazing classification. Search the license number on the CSLB website. Check that the license is active and in clear status, not suspended or revoked.
A contractor bond should be recorded against the license. This protects you if the contractor does not complete the work. The CSLB license detail page shows the bond status and the bonding company.
If the contractor has employees, workers compensation coverage should be recorded on the CSLB license. This protects you from liability if a worker is injured on your property. A contractor with no workers comp who is not a sole owner is a risk.
The Better Business Bureau profile shows complaint history, response patterns, time in business and the rating. It is not the only source, but it is a useful check for red flags. Search the company name on bbb.org.
Check Google, Yelp and any industry platforms. Look for patterns rather than individual reviews. A company with consistent feedback about the same strengths or issues over time is more telling than any single review.
